I chose art as a tool to express my life. I have lived since then exploring with it. I started in my twenties but put more efforts on spending with and taking care of my family as a homemaker.
I studied chemistry in a college. Then, I learned and practiced how to paint in small private art studio, art classes in a community center, and continuing education programs. Even though I have not produced many art works regularly, I continuously thought about them. In an effort to provide momentum for a breakthrough, I decided to send my works to art competitions.
I was born and grew up in Seoul, Korea, and stayed in Sweden in 1986 for 8 months. I came to USA in May 1992, and work now in Houston after living in various cities: Lexington in Kentucky, San Jose in California, State College in Pennsylvania, and Los Angeles in California. I really enjoyed art museums and galleries in the cities where I visited, and learned a lot from the master pieces in there.
This work, SHADOWS, was created using four sketches of different models with sad and dark faces drawn in the lab of Art League in Houston.
