I have always been fascinated by the art of portraiture and the Uniqueness of the human face. In many cases the face is a reflection of the thoughts and emotions a person is experiencing at the time. The ability to reveal the personality of the sitter or to tell a story, through a portrait, is essential to the overall artwork; a portrait should offer more to the viewer than just a skillful physical likeness of a person. For me one of the most interesting elements of painting or sculpting the human face is depicting perceived imperfections and the individual's unique characteristics.
