The Sign: When My Life Was Ebbing Away, Then I Remembered, Charcoal on paper, 29"x24"
The nude is the most important subject of my work. Its physical presence carries with it the indicators of an internal and eternal existence.
This vessel of flesh, bone and blood bears the indecipherable glyphs of a history lived and its sentient passenger within. It is poetic; it is epic; it is important, because artist and model share in the human experience and bear the common prints of a Creator.
