Olympia, Pigment, oil, gel, inkjet on canvas, 33 x 48 inches

Olympia reimagines the classical nude through a contemporary, hybrid lens. Painted from live models who posed individually for the composition, the figure is rendered with traditional accuracy while set against a background constructed from collage and printed imagery. This tension between the hand-painted body and the mediated surface reflects how the nude functions in the 21st century—no longer isolated, but framed by the visual noise and cultural expectations that surround us. La Florida explores vulnerability and self-protection through a partially nude figure drawn from life. Seated in a closed, inward posture, the body appears both exposed and guarded, while the sunglasses introduce anonymity and a contemporary gaze. Soft pastel layers mingle with a textured, collage-like surface, creating a hybrid space between intimacy and distance. Once Upon a Time presents a partially nude figure situated within a surface layered with advertising fragments and printed imagery.
